On October 19, Epilepsy Ottawa held the second annual Ottawa Fire Truck Pull at Lansdowne Park. The event raised $34,000!
It was a beautiful sunny day as teams competed to see who could pull the
fire truck the fastest, who had the best team spirit, who could raise
the most money, and who was the overall best team. We introduced the
Shawn Mathieson First Responder Challenge, in which teams of first
responders competed against each other to see who could pull the fire
truck the fastest.
The award winners are:
- Ottawa Police Service (Fastest Pull & Shawn Mathieson First Responder Challege)
- Team Shrek (Most Charitable Team)
- Station 53 and Friends (Best Team Spirit, Overall Best Team)
Although these three teams swept the awards, all the team participating were winners. They managed to get that fire truck moving, they had a great time, and every dollar they raised will help provide epilepsy services in our community.
This event is only possible with the help of our amazing teams, our hardworking staff and volunteers, Ottawa Fire Services, and our generous sponsors.
