We’re BACK at Ottawa City Hall for our 2023 Purple Day Celebration!
Join us for an afternoon of festivities celebrating people living with epilepsy in the Ottawa Region, and across the world!
- Help create a special art installation with Graffiti Artist Mique Michelle*
- Balloon Twisters from Worlds Greatest Balloons
- Hand-Crafted Lawn Games
- Thumbs-Up for Epilepsy
- And much, much more!
* Graffiti Artist Mique Michelle will help members of our community create an installation about living with epilepsy. She’ll begin with a community member consultation in early March to determine themes and other elements of the installation. Purple Day Celebration attendees who live with epilepsy are invited to help create the installation.

Franco-Ontarienne, femme. Du Nipissing Ouest, Mique a comme objectif d’abolir les stéréotypes négative du Graffiti. Elle espère également sensibiliser le publique aux réalités des minorités visibles et invisibles ainsi que s’assurer que la jeunesse et les communautés dont elle visite ont les outils pour partager leurs messages. Aussi de mettre de la couleur sur tous les murs!
Mique Michelle is a Franco-Ontarienne, originally from West Nipissing this woman’s graffiti can be found all around the world. She uses graffiti as a way to create awareness about the oppression that visible and invisible minorities face. She is convinced that murals, as just like all elements of hip hop can offer solutions to stop the discrimination.
